Futures Platform introduces a whole new way to dive into content via the new Spotlight-tool. Spotlight utilises the latest AI capabilities of Futures Platform's Futures Intelligence Platform (FIP).
Futures Platform's new Spotlight-tool uses the latest AI capabilities of Futures Platform's Futures Intelligence Platform (FIP) to provide a new way to visualising content. In Spotlight, the news article is surrounded by multiple phenomena which are connected to topic of the article. You will discover phenomena across domains to ensure a holistic view. This provides a way to show the article in a wider context to understand the driving forces and areas of impact, and to broaden your perspective. You will also be able to see and open the related news articles and phenomena on the Spotlight view to dive deeper into the topic.
New updates to Spotlight (8.4.2024)
The Spotlight is even more powerful! Now the Spotlight takes into account content you and your team have added to Futures Platform. With this update the Spotlight-view shows not only related phenomena created by Futures Platform but also created by you and your team. This way you are able to observe connections between news articles and your unique content.
How to access the Spotlight?
You can access the Spotlight directly on the platform. Navigate to Content-page and to the News-tab. There you can find the Spotlight-icon next to each news article which opens the article in the Spotlight-view.
You can also flag articles to save them for yourself. You can use the filter "Show only flagged" on the upper right corner of the page to show the articles you have flagged.
You can also share interesting articles with your colleagues and network via email, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
You also can access the Spotlight-view through Disruptor Alert. Make sure to set your topics of interest for the Disruptor Alert by clicking your name on the upper right corner on the platform and clicking "Alert settings". Select the themes you are interested in and click Save. Then, you will receive a bi-weekly collection of most disruptive news articles into your email. How to use the Spotlight?
Once you are in the Spotlight-view, you can click on the main article to access the news site. You can open up a related phenomenon by clicking the phenomenon, or lift another news article to the Spotlight by clicking the Spotlight-icon next to the article (user must be logged in to the platform with their Futures Platform login credentials to access the content). Please note, that there are several related news articles which you can browse through by clicking the left and right arrows next to the news articles.
